Performance Coaching and Nutrition

Am I a good fit to be your coach?

I help mountain endurance athletes pursue their training and competition goals through a unique combination of nutrition and sport coaching, tailored to the individual. I don’t take any shortcuts, copy and paste the latest training or nutrition hack, or promote any shiny supplements or quick fixes. I rely on getting to know the athlete and human I’m working with on a deep level, and then applying the best available scientific evidence with a wealth of experience both coaching a variety of athletes and my own athletic endeavors.

I’ve coached athletes to eat and train at their best from all over the world across a variety of endurance sports, such as road and gravel cycling, ultra-endurance cycling and trail running, ski mountaineering, climbing, triathlon, and cross-country skiing.

Testimonials

I reached out to Jackson as my master’s cycling season was about to start, and I was feeling my nutrition was not tuned for the amount of work that was about to come, and I was concerned with short-term performance and recovery as well as long-term health.

After a few weeks, my body has adapted to eating more, and I’ve increased both the amount of food and the volume and intensity of my workouts. I feel much stronger, and now food is the “fuel” for my workouts.
— Jordi C, road cyclist
I did a 3 month coaching session with Jackson while preparing for an ultra endurance mountain biking event, and it’s amazing what keeping fueled properly does for you on a long ride. I really appreciated Jackson’s balanced and science-based approach. He suggested some tweaks to my diet and guided me through different approaches to fueling my rides and now I know exactly what I need to do to reach my goals. I am finally more confident about planning my nutrition in my sport as well as daily life.
— Julie K, ultra-endurance mountain bike racer
