Today I sit down with fellow plant-based mountain athlete and friend Laura Stamp to chat about growing up as an endurance athlete, burnout in sport, Guillain-Barre syndrome, fueling ultra-endurance exercise on plants, and more. Laura recently placed 2nd overall female in the 100 mile High Lonesome ultra, completed her master’s degree in geology, and has finished on the podium in multiple high-caliber skimo races.
It’s an important theme of In The Flow to talk about the dark sides of sport, which eventually create the space to find a refreshed and positive relationship with movement. Laura and I share a very similar path through endurance sport, so it’s great to be able to share that on the podcast. If you have a question about plant-based nutrition for athletes, endurance sports, meditation, etc. please send it in and I’ll answer it on the show next week for the first Ask Me Anything podcast. You can comment on this post or send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org!
If you’re enjoying the show, please consider subscribing wherever you listen to podcasts and sharing what you like most about the podcast over on the Apple Podcasts review section. It helps me out!
